It was very interesting, Employees were friendly and informative, and the young lady was a sweetheart and walked with me and took some photos and got me started out (they also have a tour I declined) So you walk along the plaques that are engraved beautifully, read about our history, famous artwork, a church on a hill at the end, a maze (3 circles) and more I didn't get to ( this visit) I believe on our armed forces and parachuting? Which they do they do there once a year. I was there for about 2 hrs, I got a bit burnt in December so I would not do this in the heat/ hot months. ..... and a pyramid over the plaque that says it's the center of the Earth..... Cute gift shop, & you get a certificate so you can get in free in the future. It was pretty cool, I'm glad I went!

This site is definitely one to see. Still growing in the artwork etchings, but amazing what has been completed. The admission is for the season, so I hope we are able to go back. Many facets from the creation of the World are shown. Having the nativity made our Christmas season visit extra special.

Very interesting exhibit. Depending on how many panels you read, you will spend one to three hours walking around. We arrived after 3 pm but if you go earlier, definitely bring sunblock, a hat and some shades!

Celebrating the year with a visit to the open-air museum "History in Granite." This idea was started by Jacques-André Istel, a French immigrant, 20 years ago and has not yet been finished. Located in the city of Felicity, CA, 15 or so miles from Yuma, AZ, it was created for future generations. Using only red Granite, which is durable, he has taken on the task of capturing the history of humanity in detail. Only 30% finished, it is a unique experience to be there. Points of interest: 1. The arm of Michelangelo's creation points to True North and is the starting point. 2. The Pyramid is the Official Center of the World. 3. The Chapel on the Hill. 4. The Granite Walls engraved with the history of humanity. Truly an "Unusual Experience."

Oh the weird & wonderful things you find in the desert. This exhibit is part of "The Official Center of the World" compound, which also houses a section of stairs from the Eiffel Tower, the Arm of God sundial that points past a pyramid and toward a small church at the top of a hill, reached only by a long set of stairs. Along the route are numerous (and growing) granite carvings that tell of the history of Humanity, American history, US Military (Marines & Navy) and French, religious history and much more. Quirky but something interesting to do.

This place is awesome, if you like to read about history and want to get some exercise in. Great place to walk and learn at the same time. There is a long walk up to the church, so be prepared for the day. Do not go at night, there are no lights and they do close at a certain time.
